One Ton Pig
PIG hit the Jackson Hole music scene hard several summers ago, leaving a trail of drunken revelers locked up in the local jail each Tuesday night after their weekly show at the Silver Dollar Bar. "It's hard to walk a strait line in the presence of this off-the-hook jamboree!" said one bleary-eyed PIG fan. One Ton Pig is reuniting in the Summer of 2010 to release their second CD, Big Norm, due out at the end of July. This group of seasoned performers has established a format for jamming out old time honky-tonk, bluegrass, classic country, chicken fried prison songs for your listening pleasure. The PIG also celebrates the brilliant songwriting of Michael Batdorf giving the band a sound all its own. One Ton Pig boasts an all-star lineup including Justin Smith (Mandatory Air) on guitar and vocals, Jason Baggett on drums, Andy Calder (Banyan) on outlaw bass, Tim Farris (Jet Black Ninja Funkgrass Unit) on mandolin and vocals, Matt Herron (Random Canyon Growlers) on fiddle, and Michael Batdorf (Easy Chair Music) on guitar and vocals. “If you can drink and dance to it, we play it,” says Batdorf. The PIG invites you to come down to the Silver Dollar on Tuesday Nights for a good old-fashioned hoedown, with dancing and spirits. Price range: $4,900-$6,900, includes audio and light production |
