The enjoyment this band shares is the underlying reason that they have worked together for so long. Word of mouth from the public and private venues at which they perform has kept them doing what they love to do, and although Derrik and the Dynamos didn't invent Blues, Rock, Motown, Reggae, Bluegrass, Standards or other forms of music common to the band or their generation, they are what this powerhouse of a band are pleased to perform.

From James Brown and Johnny Nash to the Eagles, to Steely Dan, to the Temptations to straight ahead acoustic bluegrass and ballads, Derrik and the Dynamos always enjoys rising to entertainment challenges. Each occasion is unique, and the entertainment must recognize and respond accordingly and appropriately to it. This is what Derrik does, with no small measure of professional pride, and enjoyment which by most accounts is quite contagious.
