Dahvi Wilson
While Dahvi has been unabashedly singing in the shower for decades, her professional singing career began when she was an undergraduate student at Brown University. Singing with the Brown'sTones a capella group and "The Kickback Band," Dahvi had the chance to sing for Bill Clinton at the White House (nothing happened... she swears), record several CDs, and perform all over the East Coast. From these illustrious beginnings she went on to take part in numerous informal musical collaborations and a three year stint as the front woman for Teton Valley's own Lunkur. A featured performer at the Center for the Art's 2009 Women of Jackson Hole showcase, Dahvi is now playing with an acoustic folk duo and the illustrious Hit Squad, taking inspiration from such greats as Janis Joplin, Etta James, Jimi Hendrix, Patty Griffin, Ryan Adams, and more. |
